Sharing the love
As a part of my church calling, a few times a month, I get
to spend an hour or so with some very lovable girls who make me smile and
laugh every time we get together. One day while we were planning what to do
that next month, we decided to do a craft. I soon after proclaimed that I was
their girl and we would have so much fun if they let me plan the craft. I had
so many options to choose from, yet wanted to give them a craft that I knew
would work out well for them... one that I didn't require buying more supplies,
either.
So we made more burlap banners. I showed pictures of my
"Let's Spoon" signage, and they all began thinking about what saying
they wanted to display on their burlap. One girl chose to write: "My
Room" while the other wrote "Jack Pot" to use in decorating for
the upcoming St. Patrick's day holiday.
The best part about this craft, is that we are able to be
ourselves with each other. When we
messed up the first banner and glued it on wrong (it said "TOP KCAJ"
instead of "JACK POT").... all we could do was laugh and start over in time to
finish all our projects before it was time to go home.
Blurry, but better than no picture |
Even when I'm having a busy and stressful week, it's always
best to spend an hour with these young ladies while we learn and enjoy
ourselves together.
