Coloring Pages

Sometimes you might get the itch to create something and you don't have the desire to go all out on something worth the supplies or the time getting a good idea. Sometimes you just need to get your hands busy.

I felt that this week, so I tried to doodle. I was not doing it for me, all my sketches looked so weird, but I still wanted to keep busy. I came across a few free printable coloring pages meant for adults. I love elephants, and I could not resist the page I found.

How cute is that, right?

The best part of the coloring page was that it was something I could pick up and put down easily when needed, and didn't need to be finished right away. This "project" also has very little clean up time and an end product I'm proud of, yet don't feel guilty if I just throw it away and start a new one for next week.

I don't even understand how I had time for coloring this week, something about a lull between midterms and papers being due that gave me the extra time to kill while the husband was working and I was done with my to-do list for the day.

If you find your own down time, I hope you feel empowered to pick up a coloring page and find the joy in it that I now do.
